Greetings and welcome to the Sunday Muse! I'd like to wish everyone a happy weekend and good writing. I'm writing and deleting this, impatient to talk about the image and trying not to wrap it in themes and whatnot before the discovery and the writing. :)
Looking forward to the poems and the conversation!

Greetings, all! It's soooo close to spooky season that I can barely stop myself from breaking out my copy of Practical Magic and beginning my annual re-read (and, of course re-watching the movie...the differences between the two make me oddly happy). But it's NOT YET time for spooky, just for wild weather. And so...we've got cows*. A cow.+ Not a flying cow. Although it could have just landed. You decide. Looking forward to seeing what's on your minds & your screens this week!
*Reference to the movie Twister.
+ One of my 'real-life' spooky stories involved a black cow that would sometimes come to the creek running through Camp Pryor when I was a Brownie (scout). There were all kinds of rumors about WHAT THAT WAS just through the trees. I mean, you're sleeping in platform tents that you first had to sweep free of large wolf spiders and it's hot and you can see the brush moving on the other side but you can't really see it. But I'm sure this cow is perfectly friendly...
Morning Musers! I hope your day is starting out good! It is another weekend and another image to get you typing or pick up a trusty pen. You know the score:
Hello Musers! We hope you are all safe, wherever it is you may be. Here is another image for your musing. You know how the directions go......(look/see - ponder - write - post/link - visit others along your journey - & above all, HAVE FUN EVERYONE!

Greetings and salutations! Welcome to the weekend and to the latest Sunday Muse. I am daydreaming of swimming pools and dragonflies and the demanding mockingbirds who are a fan of blueberries and yard-diving and hoping that this finds us all still afloat and waving cheerily from our distant poetry rafts. Toss us a line and we'll clamber aboard.

Champagne, 1920s. Atelier Manasse was a legendary Austrian photo studio that captured the golden age of cinema and cabaret in Vienna of the 1920’s and 1930’s. The studio, active in Vienna between 1922 and 1938.
A wonderful picture from the roaring 20's. I wonder what photos they will have for the 2020's?
Well, hello fabulous Musers! I hope everyone is doing well. Here is another image for your musing inspiration.

Greetings and salutations! Hoping this finds you well in the midst of chaos. I'm fascinated by roses, both in their formal florist setting and in their wilder, briar variety, so for my first prompt I thought I'd go with roses.
So, here we are: poof! Roses and verses. A magic trick I shall enjoy reading. :)
Hi gang! Fireblossom here with a double dose for you this week. Both photographs are actual color (not colorized) photographs from 1908 and 1913 respectively. They were done using a process called Autochrome Lumiere. I thank my BFF Hedgewitch for turning me on to them.
Choose either image for your poetic inspiration and write a poem, link up and link back, visit, enjoy!

Hello Muse people! Here is your weekly image to inspire your writing. Look, mull, write, link, visit! The image is the Aztec Theater in downtown San Antonio, Texas. Once a grand movie palace with full faux Aztec decor inside including ornate pillars, by the time I lived there it was a bargain movie house called the Aztec 3 because it was divided into three theaters. By the time I visited some years later, it was closed. However, I understand that it is being used once again, as a venue for concerts and whatnot. I'm glad the old girl has found new love.
You, of course, may take the image in any (poetic) direction you like!
Happy Saturday Musers! It is Carrie hosting this week, and I am glad you have arrived!! While you are here, I want to wish all you ladies out there with children or not, a wonderful Mothers Day! Hello Musers welcome to another week of image pondering at the Muse. We are glad you are here! We know many of you are home, laying low, and others are in the front lines at hospitals and grocery stores serving those in need, and to both we thank you! Here is a photo to move you in poetic directions and hopefully away from the news.

OoOOo, number 99! And, to mangle the Beatles lyric, we all know what the One After 99 is! Carrie will have that one next week! But for now, it's me, Fireblossom, with this image for you to write to. We are loosey goosey here at the Muse, but I should put it out there that if you link something totally unrelated, I will bounce you. So, please write for the image! :-) Write, link, visit, have fun!!! And I should add that it's so cool what great stuff you have all been writing!
