Greetings and salutations! Welcome to the weekend and to the latest Sunday Muse. I am daydreaming of swimming pools and dragonflies and the demanding mockingbirds who are a fan of blueberries and yard-diving and hoping that this finds us all still afloat and waving cheerily from our distant poetry rafts. Toss us a line and we'll clamber aboard.
Good morning Chrissa, Shay and everyone!!! π»π
ReplyDeleteploop is not a word but sure it is
ReplyDeleteyou insist and ploop another slice
of watermelon as the knife comes down
and kernels of corn splash in my mouth
like a summer shower
ploop no no frogs diving into ponds
no this is a food thing ok but
we're not French and certainly
not this early in the morning
ploop ploop blueberries' friendly
belly flops into the batter ploop
the first drops sizzle in the coffee pot
the dog making business in the yard
sorry that's gross! now the rain
is starting now the morning
ripples now
you put your finger on my lips
and I taste a drop
of quiet
It is ploop, and I love all your ploops here Qbit! Good thing the library is not open to the public, or I would have been fired for laughing too loudly! We need some laughter and smiles these days! Thanks Qbit!!
