Hello friends, it's me, Fireblossom, with a slightly different Muse prompt for your poetry-writing joy.
This time, you get a choice of any of three images!
They are themed, that is to say, similar, which is to say, my Pinterest is loaded with them.
All three images are of actors but who they are is not important. Let the image you like best speak to you and write a poem from that. If you do not include the image with your post--I'm looking at you, qbit!--at least let us know which one you wrote for. Then link, read, comment, and win at life! Enjoy.
Hello & welcome Musers! This week we have an image that was suggested by the lovely and talented Susie Clevenger. She is a very regular Muser with several blogs and she also does "Covid Creations". She is a very creative soul, and we are happy to share her wonderful idea today!
This week's offering is an artwork in the "naive" style by artist Guido Vedovato. This one is entitled "Self-Portrait With Accordion." Take a look, write a poem, link, visit, enjoy!
Good morning Muse friends!I am so glad you joined us this week because I have something wonderful
to share with you today! One of our amazing Muse hosts, Shay AKA Fireblossom, has just published a new book of poetry called Gypsy Bird Cage. You can click on
the title to see it on Amazon. As most of you already know, her
poetry is absolutely amazing and the world has been waiting, so I am utterly delighted
to share this news with you all!My copy is on the way!
Well in the spirit of celebration lets get
started everyone; write/share/visit others/ and get inspired by amazing published poets!
Welcome Musers to another week of writing and sharing. We are delighted you are here! The image this week is one of my favorite Frida paintings, and I wanted to see it put to poetry and prose. I hope it inspires you as much as it does me!
Having dropped the ball last week due to wonky internet service, I am back this week with an image to stir the angels and devils of your creativity. Perhaps dolly is crying because you wrote a haiku. Haiku gives dolly a sad. Take a peek, write, post, link, go visit others, have fun! --Shay
Greetings Musers one and all! You have arrived for another week at the Muse, and we hope you enjoy your travels. I am filling in for Shay this week, and hope to fill her shoes as best I can. She will probably be back to host next week, and I know it will be an image we all will love!
Good morning friends! We are glad you have joined us this week for another prompt to quench your thirst for writing! Look deep into the image, write, link, & visit others along the way.
Hello Musers! Fireblossom here with your picture prompt to inspire your poetic writing this weekend. You know what to do....take a gander, get inspired, write a poem, link it, visit others, dye your hair purple. Okay, I made up that last, about the hair. :-p
We have a special Muse for you this week everyone! We have 2
Geminis in the house this month, Shay & Carrie (Moi) and so we both are
going to provide an image in honor of our zodiac sign. Doesn’t that sound cool?To top it off today is Shay’s birthday!Happy Birthday my friend! You can go with either
image at the end of this post or be super fancy and do both!
Have double the fun this week everyone!
Now for a little extra something from the Gemini Gals:
I am proud to share Gemini-ness with Carrie! It's like there are four of us in the room, with double twins!
If you meet this woman on the road, cross the street. She'll either talk about her dog or complain about haiku.
I work in a library that is surrounded by gardens and woods. I am a lucky old lady!
Now below is your musing material, double double toil and trouble. We look forward to reading your amazing words!
Hello Musers! Shay here with your weekend picture prompt to spur your poetic imagination! I believe that this image is Anthony Edwards in the movie "Northfork." Just look, write, post, link and visit! Have fun!
Hello Musers! We are throwing you for a loop with an early post. It gives us all more time to let our muse take flight.....and I say, the sky is the limit!
Morning to you all, my Muse Friends! It is hard to believe we are edging out of the third month of the year already! I hope to meet back up with you here, and look forward to seeing the different directions the image takes you.
Good morning Musers. Sorry I am a little late with this. (Actually, I am a day early! I never know what day it is. So you get an extra day of writing!) You know what to do. This tape will self-destruct in 12 seconds.
Welcome Musers! Wishing you all a wonderful weekend! I have always been fascinated by abandoned photography; the capturing of the forgotten and left behind. It speaks so much of the tragedies of life and tells stories that fill the empty places. I hope this one speaks to you as well.
Greetings from what, this weekend, seems to be late spring here in Texas. This is the curtain behind which I feel last year was lived (and this year, with exceptions, is as well) and I'm very interested to see what might lie on the other side. Or what lurks on this side. :)
Greetings Musers! I hope you all are staying safe, well & warm. In my neck of the woods, we are preparing for some pretty cold weather. I am hoping the weather man is wrong, but time will tell. Here is another image to warm your muse, and get your writing.
"Natural Woman" Digital Collage Art "Covid Creations" by Susie Clevenger
Good morning and welcome everyone. We are delighted you are here! It is Carrie
this week with art from one of our own poets on blogger, Susie Clevenger. Her digital art is so lovely and thought
provoking and I have been admiring it for a while. I had a light bulb moment earlier this week,
and decided to pursue featuring her art for our musing. Thank you, Susie, for giving us the opportunity
to write to your amazing art!
I cannot wait to see the different directions
this takes you!
Happy January! We just came in from running around the backyard in shorts and t-shirts...because snow is pretty much mythical in this part of Texas (not impossible, but nice and once-upon-a-time) and that's just what I wanted for this week's Muse. Several people in my life are looking at new paths and I find myself thinking about this as well. Myths are often the record or beginning of journeys and thus: trackless snow and a rising (?) sun. Is this an invitation? A benediction? A lure?
Looking forward to the poetry you find along the way.
Welcome Musers one & all! It's Carrie this week with a double take to broaden your musing horizons. No you are not seeing double! We are doing a little something different this time. There is an image representing duality, and one of unity. Each one can inspire strong poetry. So pick the one that speaks to you most, and write & share. If you want to be real fancy, write about both. I cannot wait to see the different directions you let your muse take you.
Greets, dear Musers, it's me, Fireblossom, your prodigal girl. I haven't written anything in weeks and it's about time to change that. You with me???
I think the general mood, with all the insanity going on in the world, has been difficult and down, so let's back up and change it up, what do you think?
This week you get a choice. We are looking back at old Hollywood and a make-believe world that nevertheless lifts our spirits and touches our hearts. You can write for the image (Tracey Powers as Mary Pickford) or you can go completely off the deep end and use the video I'm providing. At the least, watch it to catch the mood! Happy writing!
Good Morning and W e l c o m e Musers
one and all!! It is Carrie this week with a pic that I handpicked…..LOL I am blaming the pun on Fireblossom….she started the
punning yesterday. ππ Anyway, I am hoping your new year is going well,
and you are staying safe and healthy.
You know the drill, so I won’t bore you with it.
Welcome Musers to our first prompt of the year 2021! We have survived one crazy year, and I don't know about you, but I am looking to the future with great hope! While we are gathered here together, I would like to take the time to thank you all for being a part of the Sunday Muse! Your continued participation and visits are what keep us going, and each and every one of you are dear to us!
Wishing you all a year ahead full of joy, peace, health , and hope!
