Sunday Muse #153
Morning to you all, my Muse Friends! It is hard to believe we are edging out of the third month of the year already! I hope to meet back up with you here, and look forward to seeing the different directions the image takes you.
I tried to fly with my feet thinking myself fleet of foot, yet the feathers I'd plucked and stuck in my toes for wings tickled so I fell on my ass laughing
Nice morning to all. Some eastward will have storms, they were our way Thursday evening sans the tornados. Carrie, you chose a neat picture holding lots of interesting tales. ..
The image reminded me of words of Chief Seattle, a native American. I had intended to title my poem "Wings", but when I got ready to post I saw that Sumana had titled her poem "Wings"! The message I get from the image is abject sorrow.
This is, yet again, an excellent inspiring visual prompt! I love the freedom of writing to visual stimulation — it lets the creative mind soar. Thank you for keeping your light shining!!
You are very welcome Rob it is our pleasure and I am the same way. Visual prompts always motivate words from me faster. I look forward to reading your poetry!
Hi! Thanks for hosting! I must confess, I looked at the image this morning before contacts, before coffee, before rubbing the sleep adequately from my eyes, and as much as I tried, I couldn't 'erase' what I originally saw. Squint and you will see what I mean. Oh well, posting in a few. Happy Weekend, all!
I probably won't be able to post this week, but I will leave you with this:
