Sunday Muse #200

Welcome Muse Friends to the 200th Muse prompt & celebration! April 2018 was when it all began with the talented poet, Chrissa, me (Carrie), and eventually our amazing poet friend Shay. We also had Wednesday prompts for a while with Toni.   It has been a wonderful experience, and today I want to thank you all for being a part of it!

This week I thought it would be fun to do something different; maybe even unprecedented! I am going to feature 10 of  some of the top viewed images of the last 4 years.  You can choose the one you feel speaks to you, but when you write your post, I want you to do one more thing. This time say a little something about yourself.  Celebrations and parties are a great place to get to know each other and have great conversation.

So, I will go first.  Hi you all know me as Carrie and some of you have heard that  I work at a library, but I bet a lot of you didn't know that.......when I write mine I will tell you more.

It's your turn!

Have fun everyone & I look forward to another 200 weeks of musing!

  1. Carrie this is going to be a hard choice. My mind was a stuck record, it remembered and loved a new earworm song, really it's old flame, "Natural Woman."
Check you later, maybe I can pass the worm on as Twain did for his little "Punch brother, punch" writing.
I'll sleep on it though Mrs. Jim and I went to sleep early this evening before the news, here in our living room recliners. I woke up and brought us a dish of ice cream. But Mrs. Jim went back to sleep and now at one I'm sort of caught up, really my smartphone battery is about dead, so will take pills, make morning coffee, set the alarm, and we'll go to bed. She is sweetly snoring, ... more when I write tomorrow.

  2. Well good morning Jim! I hope you can make a decision and if you want to write to more than one, go for it! πŸ€—

  5. It's cool to see which images popped up! Not sure what's speaking to me this morning, given the fact I'm several cups of coffee into a morning that started around 3 with a blanket-stealing dog and just seems to have extended into a rainy daylight. Perfect poetry weather.

  7. Good Morning Musers! Number 94 was my first Sunday Muse, having spent much of 2018 supporting my son Carl through a series of hospitalizations, trauma, near death. I have traveled back this morning to the early days of my participation .. # 97 one of my all time favorite images, and the poem I wrote was also one of my favorite writes. Here's to the next 100 .... posts / years. Cheers.

  11. Dear Carrie, so glad to be back after a 3 weeks break. All the images speak to me at this point of time, but I have to choose one. Life has turned upside down after losing a nephew who was just 20 in an accident on 3rd Feb. We are still reeling in shock. And then I lost a close children friend whom I met on 15 Feb and he passed away on 18th Feb of a heart attack. Trying to make head or tails of whatever is happening at this end.

  14. In addition to the fascinating image I used in the piece I wrote and linked to as rob kistner, I ended up using an additional four of the proffered, and most wonderful images Carrie, in a piece I wrote under my occasional aka “pen name” — lawrence tieke. This was certainly a fertile prompt my friend — thank you!.

  15. Congratulations with this wonderful achievement: 200!! So many different people brought together.
    Thank you so much!

The world is in turmoil, and the history of my family, everything I saw on TV, discussed, heard, it all has touched me deep.
So I wrote a trilogy. Not as a celebration, but as a witness of this time.

I hope the coming week will be calm.
