Sunday Muse #219

Greetings & Salutations Musers! Welcome to another week at the Muse.  As you can see, we have a group of images today that don’t necessarily have a theme.  We shall call them, "Themeless in Seattle". Select the one that grabs you and visit back with where it leads you.

I also wanted to take the time to share some very sad news.  One of our lovely poets has passed, and I thought you would all want to know.  I found out on Friday from our dear poet Helen that Beverly Crawford has left this earth for Heavenly places.  I was very sad to hear the news. Her poetry has always been a delight to read.  Bev could certainly craft a poem with rhyme so beautifully.  She will certainly be missed.  R.I.P. dear Bev.  I know Heaven will surely be a more beautiful & poetic place with you beyond the Pearly Gates. 💜

  3. I too am so sorry to have lost a dear blogging friend. May she rest in piece. We were about the same age, I was a few years older. Guess I'd better coach my younger daughter and have her let you folk and other when I pass.
Do we know if she was I'll before? I have lost many
blogging friends, youngest in a car wreck, oldest and I were to turn 80 soon, but she died a few months before that birthday. We were in her country just months before but not close enough to visit. She posted Blonde jokes just for me.
WE NEVER KNOW WHEN WE ARE CLOSE TO OUR TURN TO LEAVE. I'M READY we all should be.
    Thank you, Carrie, for relating.
Either dandelions and purple violets were my first flower love, I'm planning to write of that this evening.

  5. Bev will be missed. She and I became email buddies two years ago, phone buddies as well. Her sense of humour, generosity of spirit, love of life were infectious. As her health began to fail, her resolve remained intact. An inspiration for all of us. Bev was 88 years old, there were days during one of our many 'talks' she seemed eight. What a delightful lady. Rest in peace, dear Bev.

    2. Thank you so much for sharing the news Helen, terribly sad as it is. It truly breaks my heart. Bev was “cooool”, and definitely possessed “a wonderful sense of humour, generosity of spirit, (and an infectious) love of life...” …as you put it so eloquently. I am so glad you befriended her as you did. You are both so alive, were in Bev’s case. I am sorry for your loss my friend, I am very certain you miss her greatly. I will.

    2. I finally read this post in more depth Carrie. I am deeply saddened to learn of Bev’s passing. I loved her zeal and humor, and her wonderful writing. She always had a kind word for me, and I especially liked when she didn’t mince them. She was so alert and alive. Her last visit to my blog was in April, when she wrote, in response to my post about the diner car visual — “ You took us there. Rob! Loved the musical journey as well. For my highschool days it was the little drug store fountain, where the root beer floats were to die for! Enjoyed the musical jukebox tour, as well. Strangely, there’s a similar diner not far from where I live, but alas it’s a hangout for over-the-hill seniors!!” — I loved the fact that she never considered herself “over the hill”. I will genuinely miss you my friend — the world has certainly lost some of its zest and wit. Rest in peace Bev. ✌🏼❤️
