Welcome Muse Friends to the 200th Muse prompt & celebration! April 2018 was when it all began with the talented poet, Chrissa, me (Carrie), and eventually our amazing poet friend Shay. We also had Wednesday prompts for a while with Toni. It has been a wonderful experience, and today I want to thank you all for being a part of it!
This week I thought it would be fun to do something different; maybe even unprecedented! I am going to feature 10 of some of the top viewed images of the last 4 years. You can choose the one you feel speaks to you, but when you write your post, I want you to do one more thing. This time say a little something about yourself. Celebrations and parties are a great place to get to know each other and have great conversation.
So, I will go first. Hi you all know me as Carrie and some of you have heard that I work at a library, but I bet a lot of you didn't know that.......when I write mine I will tell you more.
It's your turn!
Have fun everyone & I look forward to another 200 weeks of musing!

Creations" by Susie Clevenger
Carrie this is going to be a hard choice. My mind was a stuck record, it remembered and loved a new earworm song, really it's old flame, "Natural Woman."
ReplyDeleteCheck you later, maybe I can pass the worm on as Twain did for his little "Punch brother, punch" writing.
I'll sleep on it though Mrs. Jim and I went to sleep early this evening before the news, here in our living room recliners. I woke up and brought us a dish of ice cream. But Mrs. Jim went back to sleep and now at one I'm sort of caught up, really my smartphone battery is about dead, so will take pills, make morning coffee, set the alarm, and we'll go to bed. She is sweetly snoring, ... more when I write tomorrow.
Well good morning Jim! I hope you can make a decision and if you want to write to more than one, go for it! π€
ReplyDeleteHello guests and friends, leave your coats in the hall. Let me add you can write to more than one if that makes you happy. I look forward to reading them all!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea, Carrie. There are actually a few up there I haven't seen before and that really catch my eye. We'll see if anything comes of it. Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteIt is my pleasure! I am glad you like it Joy, and I am looking forward to seeing which one or ones you choose!
DeleteIt's cool to see which images popped up! Not sure what's speaking to me this morning, given the fact I'm several cups of coffee into a morning that started around 3 with a blanket-stealing dog and just seems to have extended into a rainy daylight. Perfect poetry weather.
ReplyDeleteHey my friend! Yes, I loved each of these images! You are right about the weather; perfect for staying in and writing poetry!
DeleteHappy 200! Such a nice group of people. Bet you cant guess which image i'll choose. Smiles.
ReplyDeleteIt is a wonderful community with you included Sherry! I have a gut feeling about the one you will choose my friend, and I look forward to reading it!
DeleteGood Morning Musers! Number 94 was my first Sunday Muse, having spent much of 2018 supporting my son Carl through a series of hospitalizations, trauma, near death. I have traveled back this morning to the early days of my participation .. # 97 one of my all time favorite images, and the poem I wrote was also one of my favorite writes. Here's to the next 100 .... posts / years. Cheers.
ReplyDeleteI hope that Carl is doing much better these days Helen. I know our kids hurts and health problems can be a deep worry and hurt for us. I look forward to re-reading your 94th! Cheers to you and and thank you for being a part of the celebration Helen!
DeleteThanks Carrie! My first Muse ever was # 94.
DeleteYes and I read it and loved it! π€©
DeleteCongratulations on 200 posts, Carrie! That's quite an achievement!
ReplyDeleteYou are a big part of it too my friend, you and Chrissa both! So this is an achievement for you both and the whole Muse community. Thank you so much for being an amazing part of the journey Shay!
DeleteWhat a wonderful achievement Carrie! 200 Wow!
ReplyDeleteAwww thank you so much Susie and thank you for sharing such lovely poetry here!
DeleteLots of good image choices, Carrie. Was out of town for most of the day but will be linking up soon.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Lisa and I hope you return. We always enjoy your poetry!
DeleteDear Carrie, so glad to be back after a 3 weeks break. All the images speak to me at this point of time, but I have to choose one. Life has turned upside down after losing a nephew who was just 20 in an accident on 3rd Feb. We are still reeling in shock. And then I lost a close children friend whom I met on 15 Feb and he passed away on 18th Feb of a heart attack. Trying to make head or tails of whatever is happening at this end.
ReplyDelete*childhood friend,
DeleteI am so sorry for all the loss you are going through Sunita. π Sending hugs your way. ππ Thank you for joining us this week with all you are enduring. I always enjoy your lovely poetry.
DeleteA thrilling line up of images to choose from. Some i have seen before.
ReplyDeleteA good and creative Sunday to all
much❤love
Glad you are here dear Gillena!
DeleteHappy 200th Dear Carrie, I just dropped my fragmented thoughts for the day...I thought of reposing a couple I had linked up with before but, the clay is just speaking to me today as the world is changing.
ReplyDeletewishing everyone peace and calmness
It is sad times we live in my friend. Thank you for joining us this week for our 200th Muse. Wishing you peace as well. π
DeleteIn addition to the fascinating image I used in the piece I wrote and linked to as rob kistner, I ended up using an additional four of the proffered, and most wonderful images Carrie, in a piece I wrote under my occasional aka “pen name” — lawrence tieke. This was certainly a fertile prompt my friend — thank you!.
ReplyDeleteYou are very welcome and thank you Rob for being a loyal Muser. I will take a look at your additional poem. Have a great week ahead.
DeleteCongratulations with this wonderful achievement: 200!! So many different people brought together.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
The world is in turmoil, and the history of my family, everything I saw on TV, discussed, heard, it all has touched me deep.
So I wrote a trilogy. Not as a celebration, but as a witness of this time.
I hope the coming week will be calm.
My heart is with you Syl. It is a crazy time; full of turmoil and heartache and unrest. Thank you for your poetry here and for taking the time to join us this week. Take care my friend. π
Deletea new muse to me- thanks for showing not telling; will be returning; thanks
ReplyDeleteWelcome Barbara! So glad you are here!
DeleteThank you for offering these images again. It's interesting to note how different my poem is from the one I wrote to the same image last year.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see you Ken! I look forward to reading it!
