Sunday Muse #108
Hello Muse people! Here is your weekly image to inspire your writing. Look, mull, write, link,visit! The image is the Aztec Theater in downtown San Antonio, Texas. Once a grand movie palace with full faux Aztec decor inside including ornate pillars, by the time I lived there it was a bargain movie house called the Aztec 3 because it was divided into three theaters. By the time I visited some years later, it was closed. However, I understand that it is being used once again, as a venue for concerts and whatnot. I'm glad the old girl has found new love.
You, of course, may take the image in any (poetic) direction you like!
I too like this old building, a clever prompt for writing this weekend. Thank you, Shay. I don't remember seeing it though I must walked by many times, we visited a lot, even honeymooned there 47 years ago. But it's been a while now since we've been and it's only a just over two hour drive for us being a western suburb of Houston. ..
I didn't think the muse had sparked anything, and then I wrote around it with questions, always questions. I, too, like multi-layered ice cream cones. I'll be back after the Sunday rituals . . .
Sometimes I have to believe in divine providence. For some reason when I clicked the link on my list of blog hops, I ended up on a post from last June! It was just what I needed, though. It pushed me out of a bit of writer's block that I was having with one of my WIPs, so, thank you very much! I'm about all wrote out for the moment so I probably won't participate in today's post, but thank you again!
Love this prompt Shay. It is so cool to see old architecture and have the history it played in your life. Brilliant!
