Hello Musers! Fireblossom (Shay) here with your weekend inspiration. This time we have an image of the late author Jack Kerouac for you to draw inspiration from.
Your poem may go in any direction and be in any (poetic) form including free verse, but we do ask that it tie in somehow with what this image says to you.
Then just link, visit, have fun you hipsters you! ;-)
My initial response wasn't suitable for a family blog. Even before I saw it was Jack!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you'll come up with!
Deleteok
Deleteqbit, my comment was eaten and should be in your spam folder.
DeleteA challenging but very effective pic, Shay. I will be around later to read, but warn everyone that many Word Press blogs eat my comments, so please check your spam folders for my return comments.
ReplyDeleteHeyyy BFF! So glad you are here!
DeleteGood morning everyone! Thanks Shay for another amazing choice!! I am knee deep in ink and paper but shall return. 😎
ReplyDeleteYou better! :-)
DeleteLOL....I am back ink paper and all. :-))
DeleteThis is a wonderful picture...unfortunately my brain is kinda one-track lately. :(
ReplyDeleteI completely understand my friend. My brain is doing the same thing. 💙

ReplyDeleteThis to me was so interesting, a person unknown to me, and now learning his life and a bit of his style. This is the 'closest' I've been with the 'beat' generation although I did attend the Village October Parade one year and also was a coffee house reading/reciting guest once.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the write today immensely. Thank you.
..
That is cool Jim. I learned a lot too and enjoyed your contribution. 😎
DeleteMy right hand is all swollen up today from arthritis, making me peck away with my left to type. So if i don't get to your poem today, or if my comment is brief, that is why. I value everyone's contribution.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry Shay. That has to be painful! 💙 Take it easy my friend. We all have the whole week and many of us do have more time on our hands right now. 🌹😎
DeleteThe rain has cleared out, the sun has come out, and the Aleve has kicked in, and I am back. :-)
DeleteHappy Sunday Afternoon...It's been storming here. Hope your hand is better soon Shay!
ReplyDeleteGood grief I am still on posting April poems...It isn't Susie Clevenger Day, but maybe I should parade around my library and pretend it is.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of Susie Clevenger Day! 🤩
DeleteIt should always be Susie Clevenger Day!
DeleteI'll be coming around to read this collection soon, soon. Writing this felt like taking a break from the moment. thank you.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you enjoyed it Susan! I know I enjoyed your poem!
