The Sunday Muse #170

Having dropped the ball last week due to wonky internet service, I am back this week with an image to stir the angels and devils of your creativity. Perhaps dolly is crying because you wrote a haiku. Haiku gives dolly a sad. Take a peek, write, post, link, go visit others, have fun! --Shay

  1. Dolly is an evil fire-starter witch from hades — but it will make for good poetry! Thanks for the prompt Shay!!

  3. There were two ill-treated 'Baby Tears' dolls I once had to 'rescue' for a neighbour...I think this doll is crying as she remembers their sorry state, before they came to me! .

  5. I find it fascinating how much we all respond to dolls. Weather happy or sad. Weather we find them scary or reminiscent of childhood.

It's already afternoon here. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

  7. This can result in a tear jerker Poem? Like it! I started this, four lines and title, sitting bedside when I couldn't sleep. I finished it in the backseat of a Toyota Camry on the way to Nasville. SIL is driving us, she and Mrs. are up front.
We have been in Jackson, TN, "We got married in a fever" and "Blue Suede Shoes," for a couple of weeks, helping and being there as Mrs. Jim's brother had a triple bypass. He and his big red heart pillow are home now and doing fairly well. If you pray please put this couple on your prayer list. Thank you.
I wish I was going to Nashville now with a song poem to pawn. :) Me?

  12. Apologies, Shay. I read a couple poems, saw the image... and then went in another direction. The few who pay attention to me won't be shocked.

  13. So...a haiku.
Maybe one or two more will follow. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.

I wish you all a great week!
