Having dropped the ball last week due to wonky internet service, I am back this week with an image to stir the angels and devils of your creativity. Perhaps dolly is crying because you wrote a haiku. Haiku gives dolly a sad. Take a peek, write, post, link, go visit others, have fun! --Shay
Dolly is adorable.
ReplyDeleteDolly is an evil fire-starter witch from hades — but it will make for good poetry! Thanks for the prompt Shay!!
ReplyDeleteTouché
Delete"Slurp." -- Coffee sounds...
ReplyDeleteBless the holy life-giving mud!
DeleteThere were two ill-treated 'Baby Tears' dolls I once had to 'rescue' for a neighbour...I think this doll is crying as she remembers their sorry state, before they came to me! .
ReplyDeleteLove it Shay!! Can go any direction with this one!! Good morning all!!
ReplyDeleteGood morning my partner in crime! Thanks for filling in for me last week!
DeleteYou are very welcome my friend..it is one of my joys in life...this place of musing and sharing!!
DeleteI find it fascinating how much we all respond to dolls. Weather happy or sad. Weather we find them scary or reminiscent of childhood.
ReplyDeleteIt's already afternoon here. Hope everyone has a good weekend.
Thank you RedCat! I agree, our views on dolls is fascinating. It is probably evening there by now. Good evening, and look forward to seeing you about tomorrow. :-)
DeleteA great pic full of secrets. Thanks, Shay. I found some words, miraculously, and will be back to read and visit tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteAll hail the great Witch! yay!
DeleteI am so glad you are here Joy!!! We have missed you!!!
DeleteThis can result in a tear jerker Poem? Like it! I started this, four lines and title, sitting bedside when I couldn't sleep. I finished it in the backseat of a Toyota Camry on the way to Nasville. SIL is driving us, she and Mrs. are up front.
ReplyDeleteWe have been in Jackson, TN, "We got married in a fever" and "Blue Suede Shoes," for a couple of weeks, helping and being there as Mrs. Jim's brother had a triple bypass. He and his big red heart pillow are home now and doing fairly well. If you pray please put this couple on your prayer list. Thank you.
I wish I was going to Nashville now with a song poem to pawn. :) Me?
..
Hi All- Happy Saturday from a very rainy Arizona. I have to say I am loving the rain. Great prompt Shay.
ReplyDeleteDid you bring Jackson? Does he write? I wouldn't be surprised. :-P
DeleteShay that is one great image to write to. Happy Saturday, All. Linda so happy to hear you've got rain!
ReplyDeleteThis brought back too many memories!
ReplyDeleteLove the photo Shay! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks Shay - this aroused something short and bitter-sweet on my birthday - back tomorrow for a read of others
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday!
DeleteApologies, Shay. I read a couple poems, saw the image... and then went in another direction. The few who pay attention to me won't be shocked.
ReplyDeleteJust pay the fine at the next window by the due date. :-P
DeleteSo...a haiku.
ReplyDeleteMaybe one or two more will follow. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.
I wish you all a great week!
Someone always goes there.
DeleteI could not leave a comment for AJ .... her poem touched me deeply.
ReplyDeleteLike you and Carrie, I would have liked to comment--it was a sadly gorgeous piece of writing.
DeleteI could not comment at AJ's site either. I loved your poem, it is beautiful and moving. I hope to see you again. We have missed you!!
